Ordination of women to priesthood: Historical epoch !!
The bill to delete the restriction to male priesthood was passed.
The approval ballot was 10 out of 11 bishops,
and 30 out of 43 representatives (both clergy and laity).
Election of Primate.
The Right Rev. Makoto Takeda, Bishop of Tokyo Diocese,
was elected as Primate of Japan province.
He received 7 out of 11 bishop votes,
and 24 out of 43 representatives.
Let us pray for our new Primate and new female priesthood.
