Friday, August 1, 1997. Visitors arrived in Dulles Airport. Transportation to ECCTK by Mrs. Nancy Murdock. Attendance at Extended Care Children's Program (ECCP) at ECCTK, with Mrs. Pat Smith, Vincent Moore, Mrs. Barbara Moore, and Ms. Chris Hewlett. Homestay: First half: Azusa SAKAI (酒井 梓、 ), with Mr. & Mrs. Bill Moore. Shoko Tsurumi, Satomi Yuda with Mrs. Carol Gooden.

Saturday, August 2, 1997. Morning: Visit to Oriole Park at Camden Yards Baseball stadium with Mrs. Pat Smith. Guided tour by Ms. Kate Lewis. Early afternoon: Kenpo karate Black Belt and lower karate belt tests. Kenpo Karate School supervised by 10th degree Black Belt master, Mr. Joe Pallanzo. 2 - 3 PM. Late Afternoon: Maryland Duckpin bowling, 3:30 - 5:30 PM, at Timonium Fair Lanes, York Road, across from Timonium Fairgrounds, will Bill, Barbara,and Vince Moore.

Sunday, August 3, 1997. Morning: Church services at ECCTK. Bilingual English-Japanese nametags for visitors, by Bill Moore and Giichiro Uchigasaki. Continental breakfast, prepared and served by Mrs. Blanche Curran, Ms. Peggy Holmes, Mrs. Pat and Mr. Harald Kingsland, Mrs. Edna Auer, and Mrs. Jane Clark. Attempted Lay Episcopal Ministry with Mrs. Nancy Murdock, but there were no calls this week. Afternoon: Mall shopping with Mrs. Carol Gooden, Mrs. Diane Wilson, and Thea Burdnell, and Jackie Burdnell. Evening: Roller Skating at Skateland, Putty Hill & Belair Road, Baltimore, MD, with Vincent Moore, Mrs. Barbara Moore, Mr. Bill Moore, and Thea Burdnell, and Jackie Burdnell.

Monday, August 4, 1997. Morning: Paul's Place soup kitchen, with Mr. Walter Ives, followed by an informal tour of the Washington Boulevard neighborhood served by Paul's Place. Japanese visitors serve food to clients. Afternoon: Trip to the National Air and Space Agency with Mrs. Gooden. Night: Christian Cell Group at Mr. Nick and Mrs. Lolly Herbert's home, 7:30 PM - 9 PM.

Tuesday, August 5, 1997. Visit to Washington, DC, with Mrs. Carol Gooden, and Mr. Larry Murphy, including St. John's Episcopal Church, Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, White House, Washington Mall, Arlington Memorial Cemetery, Vietnam War Memorial, Washington National Cathedral (Anglican).

Wednesday, August 6, 1997. Morning: ECCTK Food Pantry, 10 AM - 12 Noon, with Mrs. Pat Smith, Mrs. Carol Gooden, and Mrs. Lolly Herbert. The food pantry is directed by Mrs. Sandra Alger. There was limited activity at the food pantry, so Pat Smith took the visitors for a brief tour and lunch at the Inner Harbor. Afternoon: Tour of Diocese of Maryland activities, including: The Ark Daycare Program; Habitat for Humanity, Sandtown, Baltimore; New Song School; and Cathedral Church of the Incarnation. Chaperones: Ms. Fran Brown, Ms. Peggy Holmes, The Rev. Mrs. Mary-Pat Ashby. Evening: Dinner hosted by the Right Reverend Bishop Mr. Robert Ihloff and Mrs. Nancy Ihloff. Wednesday night, Asuza to Mrs. Smith's home.

Thursday, August 7, 1997. Visit to Adventureworld, with Mrs. Carol Gooden and Jerry Gooden. Thursday night, Shoko and Satomi to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Burdnell's home.

Friday, August 8, 1997. Visit to All Saints Anglican Convent, Catonsville, with picnic. Chaperones: Mrs. Pat Smith. Japanese-born, Japanese-speaking Sister Margaret was present. Pat Smith took the visitors for a longer visit to the Inner Harbor.

Saturday, August 9, 1997. Visit to Bishop Claggett Episcopal Center, Buckeystown, MD, with Mrs. Karen Burdnell, Thea Burdnell, Jackie Burdnell, and parishioners of ECCTK. Mr. Nick Herbert brings the picnic and recreational equipment. Swimming and ball games. A good time was had by all.

Sunday, August 10, 1997. Morning: Church services at ECCTK. Continental breakfast, prepared and served by Mrs. Blanche Curran, Mrs. Gloria Jones, and Mrs. Carol Gooden. Cursillo at St. Peters Church, Ellicott City, 7:30 - 9:30 PM.

Monday, August 11, 1997. Transportation from ECCTK to Dulles by Mr. Bob Murdock. Visitors depart from Dulles Airport.
